Mid-America Trucking Show Set for March 27th

The Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) first took place in 1972 as a trade show for truck drivers and industry representatives. Since then, the annual event has grown (along with the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center that hosts it) to include over 1,000 exhibitors and 80,900 attendees, a great leap from the 83 exhibitors and 4000 participants in 1972.

The success of MATS and the phenomenal growth it has continued to experience showcases the importance MATS holds within the heavy-duty trucking industry. The 2012 MATS event hosted 80,972 attendees, smashing previous attendance numbers and achieving accolades as the “Best Mid-America Trucking Show Ever.” That is why attendees and exhibitors alike readily agree with the statement “If you want to conduct business in the trucking industry, you have to be at MATS.”

The 2014 MATS event will take place from March 27th -29th in Louisville, Kentucky, at the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center, with special VIP access beginning on Wednesday, March 26th. Attendees of the event are able to check out the latest technology, products, and services available to those in the truck driving industry, network with other drivers, and gain information about current hot topics in the trucking industry.

In addition to being a trade show, the Mid-America Trucking Show also provides educational opportunities and other special events for participants. This year, MATS is hosting a concert with up and coming opener, Chris Hennessee. The headliner for 2014 will be country music sensation Gretchen Wilson taking the stage after the events on Friday, March 28th.
